Dr. Katherine McCormick, Associate Professor in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education holds the James W. and Diane V. Stuckert Service Learning Professorship. This endowment was awarded to Dr. McCormick in January 2007. The Professorship supports community engagement and service-learning for all units across the campus and in near and far communities. Dr McCormick has focused her work in support of UK community engagement and service-learning through international, graduate/professional, and undergraduate efforts. She has worked with the UK Shoulder to Shoulder Ecuador project for the past three years and currently serves on their advisory board. Efforts to support graduate and professional schools have been focused on the medical colleges. This year, her work extends to undergraduate education. Dr. McCormick serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Community Engagement and Scholarship.
