Scholars Visiting from South Africa

Rika Jobert and Jean van Rooyen, scholars at the University of Pretoria,  will be visiting the department and the College during the week of Oct. 19. Rika and Jean work in the Department of Education Management and Policy Studies and study educational law and finance, respectively, in South African education.

Beth Randolph Named Kentucky's 2009 History Teacher of the Year

Current EDL student, and COE alum, Beth Randolph was named the 2009 History Teacher of the Year by the Kentucky Historical Society. Beth is a teacher at the School for the Creative and Performing Arts in Fayette County. She is in the running for National History Teacher of the Year ... good luck Beth and thanks for being such a great teacher for Kentucky's kids.

Scholar in Residence for the Fall Semester

Mika Risku will be joining the Department of Educational Leadership Studies in the fall as our Practitioner-Scholar in Residence. Mika is currently the Associate Director of the Institute for Educational Leadership at the University of Jyväskylä in Finland and before that he was a middle school principal.
