EDC 346   TEACHING SOCIAL STUDIES IN THE MIDDLE SCHOOL   (3 hours)
 
A study of theoretical models and methodological strategies for teaching social studies at the middle school level. The course will include a critical analysis of a variety of objectives, instructional materials and strategies, and evaluation techniques for middle school social studies. Consideration will be given to addressing the individual needs of a diverse student population.
 
Prerequisite(s):   Admission to TEP; completion of 24 hours in social studies. Concur: EDC 330 and EDC 343
