An Overview of the Graduate Program in
Middle School Education

The Middle School Teacher Education Program at the University of Kentucky (MSTEP) has a proud history of preparing teachers grades 5 through 9. Our graduate program is designed for teachers who are continuing their professional development and want to investigate the challenges of teaching adolescents in any content area. Grounded in theory and research about teaching effectiveness, the program is well suited for professional educators.  Students who graduate from our master’s program become teacher leaders in schools across the country, as well as curriculum specialists, and textbook company representatives.

As we are in the process of redesigning our middle school graduate program, please contact us for further information.

Thank you for your interest in Middle School Education.
