The Middle School Teacher Education Program at the University of Kentucky (MSTEP) has a proud history of preparing teachers grades 5 through 9. The Master of Science Degree, with an emphasis on Math and Science course work,  is designed for teachers who are continuing their professional development and want to investigate the challenges of teaching adolescents. Grounded in theory and research about teaching effectiveness, the program is well suited for professional educators. Students who graduate from our master’s program become teacher leaders in schools across the country, as well as curriculum specialists, and textbook company representatives.
