Welcome to Graduate Degree Programs in EDC!
Welcome to the Department of Curriculum and Instruction! We have a wealth of information on our site. In your visit you will want to gather information about our faculty, our programs and our students. The twenty-one faculty participate on fifteen teacher education program committees and on the graduate program faculties. We offer master's, educational specialist, and doctoral degrees in six program areas. Our Master's with Initial Certification is offered for students who decide to teach after other professional experiences.
In your visit you will want to learn that our faculty is involved in funded research, teaching and service, that our programs are robust and comprehensive, that our students represent the Commonwealth and most of the 50 states and that our graduates find signficant employment.
The Department works with public and private schools in Fayette and the contiguous counties.
The decision to apply is an important one. You will need to complete the departmental application AND the application to the Graduate School. Financial aide is available in the form of assistantships and fellowships and scholarships. In addition to these forms of support our students win assistantships in other departments across campus.
