A major contributor to the college and university experience is the variety of social activities in which students may participate. The emphasis of the college's student groups is on professional educator development. Typically undergraduates join groups that are identified with their major. Graduate students join the appropriate professional organization's campus chapter. Still other student life groups sponsored by the college function importantly as social groups.

The Student Organization Room is reserved for meetings of College of Education student groups. It is located in room 167 Taylor Education Building and is equipped with a conference area as well as space for small, informal gatherings.
