Upper Division Application

College of Education students pursuing the secondary education major, who have completed 60 hours toward their UK degree with a minimum 2.5 GPA, must be admitted to advanced standing/upper division.

In order to be admitted to advanced standing/upper division, a student must:

  1. Print out an unofficial transcript from myUK.

  2. Contact the upper division advisor in his/her subject area to make an appointment (advisors are listed on the application form).

  3. Take the Upper Division application and unofficial transcript to the appointment.

  4. Acquire new advisor's signature on application. Discuss course schedule for upcoming semester and MIC requirements.

  5. Return Upper Division application to TEB 166.

Once the form has been returned to TEB 166, the student's advisor will be reassigned in SAP and the student will see his/her new advisor for academic issues, program questions, etc.

NOTE: If you are not a secondary education major, you must apply to the Teacher Education Program (TEP).
